Plato in Responce to the Simpsons

The goal of an individual is to return to the original and perfect form. Art however leads you away and hinders your ability to distinguish the form from the copy. Art misleads society and the artists are responsible  for the  undermining of reason and the dialect. Art evokes emotions based on the aesthetic appeal and our own flawed interpretations of it. It does not in anyway help the individual reach the true meaning of the object. Art is a shadow of a copy and those who defend art live in a cave of shadows never experiencing the reality and reason. The Simpson picture was group of people from a tv show, on the smart board projection from a computer. The connection from reality was lost by numerous shadows of shadows of shadows. The topics in the show have satire and comment provides societal commentaries however like the paradox of the parable of the singer, people will not pay attention to the commentary. People notice the comedy and the connections to themselves as individuals instead of confronting society head on.
